Raymo Torpedo: Real-World Test at the Absolute Limit

How does a fully electric utility vehicle perform when the gradient, terrain, and operating time all push it to its limits at the same time? A recent real-world test of the Raymo Torpedo (2025 model year) provides a clear answer to that question.

The Task: Steep-Slope Mowing Under Challenging Conditions

The Raymo Torpedo is designed for slopes of up to 45°. In this particular customer deployment, the machine at times effortlessly mastered slopes of up to 60°, combined with loose, sandy ground. For the drive system and mower deck, this meant continuous full load for around four hours, without a break and without a single failure.

The soft ground required additional maneuvering in some areas to safely reach certain sections of the terrain. Details like these show just how demanding the deployment really was in practice.

For this test, the implement carrier was equipped with:

  • R48Craft mower deck
  • AT tires
  • active work lighting

Four Hours of Full Load: What the Battery Data Shows

The deployment began with a battery level of approx. 93%. After four hours of uninterrupted, extremely demanding work on the steep slope, the charge level was still at 13% – despite continuous maximum load on difficult terrain.

Intelligent Motor Management as the Technical Key

Sustained full load on a steep slope places high demands on mechanics and electronics. The Raymo Torpedo addresses this with intelligent motor management that gently adjusts driving speed during sustained peak load. This keeps the components protected while the machine continues to work continuously and safely, even in absolute limit conditions.

From Test to Purchase Decision

For the end customer, the result was convincing enough to immediately commit the Raymo Torpedo firmly to their budget planning. Practical proof that the electric drive remains reliable and powerful even under extreme conditions.

At a Glance:

  • Operating time: around 4 hours of uninterrupted, extremely demanding work
  • Slope: designed for up to 45°, at times confidently handled up to 60° in the test
  • Ground conditions: additionally loose, sandy ground
  • Battery level: from approx. 93% at the start to 13% at the end
  • Equipment: R48Craft mower deck, AT tires, active work lighting
  • Result: customer firmly commits the Raymo Torpedo to their budget planning
